Trent Whaley, amateur photographer

The easiest way:

Show up to a group event (On Vancouver Island or in Vancouver) put on by either of the facebook groups, and I might be there:

Do I already know you, through work, community involvement, or otherwise?

Remember, I like to take pictures of people who like to have their picture taken. I'm an amateur photographer. That means I do it for fun, not as my job. Sometimes I get good results.

If you want to have your picture taken for fun, GREAT!
Do you have a costume you'd like photographed better than a selfie? (cosplay, acting, ethnic traditional? all cool!)
Want dramatic photos in your sports gear, with a musical instrument, or something else you're passionate about? (stamp collection? HAM Radios? Wildlife rehab? bring your ideas)
Want the confidence boost from a boudoir shoot?

Easy peasy! contact me by email! TRWPhotoNanaimo@gmail.com. Don't use my work email nor your work email (this isn't work), and especially don't use my internal email or Teams in your organization if you find me there - I don't check those except on very rare occasions (I have several - 2 banks, government, etc).

I'm probably not going to want to do your family photos, and definitely not going to shoot your wedding, advertising, product (other than local art), corporate event, etc.

If I don't already know you...

Show up to one of the events in the first heading where I am also there, and introduce yourself. Then we'll know eachother.

Or if you're already active in the BC photography/modeling scene, or have an established presence in something like the performing arts (yes, amateur theatre counts), or even cosplay, just contact me with your idea.

Do you want to book me to shoot a wedding? No thank you. I've done weddings; they weren't fun and I did not produce good results.

Do you want to book me for some other once in a lifetime event? also nope.

Do you enjoy having your picture taken and think it would be fun to have your picture taken by me? OK! Maybe.
